The Cast

Cast portraits by ReddyPine

Bedtime

as Dungeon Master

I've been running TTRPGs for the past ten years and it's my favorite form of story telling. I'm also an artist, graphic designer and writer, am happily married and the parent of two goof ball pets.

Arden

as Eshun Anaang

I've been playing D&D for just over 7 years and roleplaying for over a decade. Between D&D sessions, I enjoy walking my dogs, playing video games, and writing.

Bryant

as Captain Siltooth

I make noises that sound good and pick clothes that look good. If it works, it’s art. If it doesn’t, it’s avant-garde.

Cat

as Philomela

Constantly learning and evolving in D&D, I've been dabbling in the game as a player for years. TTRPGS and creative storytelling are my passion, but I also play video and board games, knit and do collaborative writing in my spare time. I have the softest spot for cats!

Pjeii

as Grumm

I am a blue-collar, ex-college theatre kid who likes to play Dungeons and Dragons on my free time. I also have been into competitive martial arts and boxing most of my life and it's my favorite thing to do!

Ryan

as Remiel

I'm from Texas but have since dragged myself up to Maryland to live in a crab pot. I've been playing D&D for almost 2 years and can't wait to make it to a third with y'all!

Torger

as CCIL

Coming from a performance background, I've been involved in TTRPGs stretching back to the Milennium, though this is my first time being part of a streamed game. I am very excited to work with such a talented and creative team to tell amazing stories.

The World

The Immortal Emperor has died.
His protection is fading, leaving the walled cities of the Terramillelacuum under threat from the Monstra; Dangerous, twisted creatures hell bent on humanity’s destruction.
Outside the city's walls, the small folk eke out an existence as they always have, but Monstra linger in the shadows, snatching those that dare to leave their homes after dark, or even those who neglect to light a candle in their windows. There are those who fight the dark, but they are few and far between.
Can you survive?

"I want to learn more about..."

Terramillelacuum

Capitol: Portitas
Population: ~ 85,000
Climate: Mild
Terrain: Lush farmlands and many lakes, swamps and mires

Founded twelve centuries ago by the Immortal Emperor, Terramillelacuum (Land of a Thousand Lakes) was once a group of warring city states. Through a series of short and devastating wars, the Immortal Emperor gathered all seven banners under his own, forcing the once disparate people of the area to become one.Terramillelacuum is one of the greatest exporters of food stuffs and soft goods in the world. The Emperor’s protection has allowed farms to flourish, as well as magic and education. Those that can afford it can attend a variety of Colleges in various cities across the continent, learning their trades and magicks to better the nation as a whole. Education is seen as a goal for most, and even simple farmers are taught to read and write by traveling primary schools. The Immortal Emperor’s goal was to have a nation full of people who could rise to any challenge.

Middle Class (Merchants) ~5,000
Lower Class (Small Folk) ~75,000
King Upon High, The Immortal Emperor, was seemingly invulnerable. His death has rocked the country, and as he had no offspring an interim advisor has been placed to try and guide the people through this dark time.Interim Advisor: Justinius Killthorne
War Advisor: Marcania Rexxus
Policy Advisor: Ollan Highgart
Mercantile Advisor: Lillana Ophre
High Priest: Lorokan Viika
Minister of Efficacy: Letho Panthis

Religion

Cultis Imperitoris, the cult of the Emperor is the primary and official religion of the Terramillelacuum. It is required to be baptized in the Emperor's Tears and accept him as the one and only Weeping Lord in order to live within the walls of any large city within the continent. Traders of other religions are allowed, but are not permitted to peddle wares of other types of worship. The Immortal Emperor is also named King Upon High, The Weeping Lord, Heaven Incarnate and The One True God.Forms of animism are not uncommon outside the cities. Other religions are next to non-existent in the cities, but some still leave offerings to family spirits in secret.
Punishment for following a religion other than the Emperor’s cult inside the walls of a city will result in instant and violent expulsion of both the offender and any of their family. This is most often a death sentence, as the Monstra that lurk out in the mists and swamps are hungry for living flesh.

The Characters

Grumm

Level 6 Path of the Beast Barbarian

played by Pjeii

"The strong feed the tribe, the weak feed the earth."

A creature of giant blood who could topple walls or empty an entire village’s food stores, Grumm is, to many, a living myth— something too large to belong in this mortal world. Stories about him travel faster than he does; tales of a “walking siege weapon,” of a half-breed marauder who devours towns into famine through grinning teeth. Some watch him with fascination, unsure whether they’re looking at a man or a force of nature wearing a man’s shape, while others see only a threat.
A grand duke is said to have sworn to mount Grumm’s head on his hall’s highest wall, claiming such a monster should not be allowed to roam free. Grumm hears these rumors in silence, pulling his cloak tighter around his massive frame as he keeps moving, hoping someday someone will see him for more than the shadow his size casts…

Eshun Anaang

Level 6 Battle Smith Artificer

played by Arden

"Fire and gunpowder do not lie together."

Eshun is an artificer, inventor, and merchant with big ambitions. After a smithing accident nearly cost him his life, he struck out on his own, determined to make a name for himself. Sadly, it hasn’t gone well.
Creator of many failed products such as the anti-monstra spike harness (his bestseller), the automatic hammer (unfortunately not a jackhammer), and the Ez-Bake Oven (surprisingly combustible), Eshun is hoping to redeem himself and forge his path to fame. Though toy-making and body augmentations are his passion, he’ll build anything, and do anything, to get ahead. He’s certain success will fix everything he ever broke— including his family.
By his side is his Steel Defender, La, a dog-like automaton and Eshun's best (and only) friend.

Philomela

Level 6 College of Whispers Bard

played by Cat

"How did the bird feel, when it discovered the walls of its cage?"

A luminous, untouchable star whose voice can command a crowd as easily as a whisper can sway a heart, Philomela is the empire’s treasured songbird. To the public, she is grace incarnate; an icon draped in gold and elegance whose every note seems shaped to perfection. Her rise to the spotlight, under the sponsorship of her reputable patron seemed like a fairytale come true to many. Her presence is always welcome, though some say her schedule is kept with uncanny precision and every appearance serves a purpose only she can name.
Behind the empire’s adoration is a life far more intricate than her audiences will ever know. As Philomela bears the weight of her role with grace, something fractures under the surface, longing for something just out of reach.

Remiel

Level 6 School of Divination Wizard

played by Ryan

"If you had the chance to be part of something greater, would you take it? "

Remiel owed his life to The Keeper and his Flock. Born an abomination, an aasimar, he was abandoned at their doorstep as an infant, yet spared. They raised him instead, and taught him the truth of the world: that the Emperor was dying, and that when He passed, the All-Father would return to begin the world anew.
Until then, Remy dreamed. He dreamt of the church, of freedom, and, sometimes, he dreamt of the future. The Keeper, in his benevolence, saw an opportunity. Soon, people from all corners of the Empire came to visit Remy in secret, the price for his visions paid behind closed doors. The Emperor's death ended everything... but not how The Keeper had foretold. Now, alone for the first time in his life, Remy must learn what comes after the end of the world.

CCIL

Level 6 Wild Magic Sorcerer

played by Torger

"What is that?"

A cold, blue glow infused cold, blue flesh, and there was a spark, a smell of ozone, and then darkness. Eventually, light came once more, but this time it was warm, yellow. Sunlight, he would come to learn. Some kindly words from some people that seemed to recognize him but were too polite to ask questions, some borrowed clothes, and he was out wandering the streets, with nothing to show who he was or how he got here, beyond a strange body modification and its accompanying inscription.
Nonetheless, CCIL found himself drawn to magic, and felt the pull of arcane forces. We would even, from time to time, feel those forces well up in him, or lash out at threats. Who he was... What he was... Those things remained a mystery to him, and one of the reasons he had yet to stray too far from where he first awoke, unexpected, unclad, and unknown.

Captain Siltooth

Level 6 Swashbuckler Rogue

played by Bryant

"Metal or not, I still like a good drink and a bad idea."

They say old Siltooth wasn’t more than fifteen the first time they tossed him in a cell, framed for killing some noble he’d never even seen. Didn’t matter none; an eeker’s word counts for less than spit when the empire needs someone to blame. They dragged him through a sham of a trial, carved him up into gears and iron, and kept him as their pet machine. They thought he’d stay meek forever, but Siltooth bided his time, till one night he slipped out of his chains and vanished like steam off the river.
Years passed before folk started whisperin’ about a half-metal man cutting through imperial ships out on the open sea. No one knows if it’s truly him, but sailors swear if the wind starts carryin’ a strange metallic humming— like music played wrong— you’d best pray you’re not flyin’ the empire’s colors. Because if you are, lad… you won’t be makin’ it home.
